Role of IT and Pharma industry in India
India, the famous country of South Asia, has always contributed much to the field of technology. It has been a
home to many great scientists, researchers, analysts, and other experts. If we turn
the pages of the formidable history of the subcontinent, India, since its partition
started to influence the world with its intellect.
Changing the history, the
first national step towards the greater cause was the formation of ISRO (Indian
Space Research Organization) in the 1970s by the Minister of the Institute of Science and Technology. Other than that, India also increased its trade and bilateral ties with other
countries. For instance, it passed an act
in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to encourage the farmers and other traders to
freely sell the goods directly to the customers without the help of any other
organization.
But all these were minor aspects where India prospered very well. The two main and quickly developing sectors where India has shaken international standards were computer science and IT, and the pharma industry.
Firstly, abrogating about
the role of IT, India was acclaimed as the fifth country in the list of
countries having the cheapest technologies. An obvious example of this
argument is that the Chandrayaan I mission of ISRO cost five times less
than the amount spent by NASA, which was 230 million dollars, and ISRO spent 56 million dollars. Other than that, a
research study conducted in March 2021 found that every one engineer out of five engineers in
America or Europe is Indian. Along with
that, the most famous and commonly used platform, the CHATGPT, was also made with
the contribution of 32 Indian computer experts.
Secondly, India has also
contributed so much to global health
and the international Pharma industry. Almost 18% of the global contribution to (World Health Organization is by India. A research article stated that during
the dark age of Covid-19, it was India that stood resilient against this global
concern and contributed 23%for the recovery of the world. The Indians
experimented in labs, conducted various research, and were active with zeal and
zest in the global effort against the fatal COVID-19. Along with that, a
solitary research study by six European
pharmaceutical experts expressed that Indian medical exports to the global world
have a worth of 220 billion dollars. Explicitly, the pharmaceutical industry
contributes 51.7% to the annual GDP of India. Indian pharmaceutical scientists are also playing a key role in
counterfeiting some dangerous emerging viruses, for example, Cancer and AIDS.
In conclusion, India has been
in a continuous struggle to achieve the high standards of development. Although
India today has many social and political problems, it has always taken
efficient decisions according to the status of the world. This became possible
only because of a good government-public relationship, because in the upper
politics of India, public opinion matters a lot. So, we should also have to
cooperate with the government, and the government should cooperate with the public to prosper
and develop Pakistan. Along with that, in the upper politics, the public's opinion
should have a great influence.
